How to Use the Central Search Bar

Prominently positioned on the top bar of the interface and visible at all times for convenience, Full Fabric's central search tool offers system-wide integration connecting profiles, programmes and classes, subjects and courses, shared segments, shared email templates, events, forms, campaigns, transactions, and organisations.

To begin your search, simply type a keyword into the search bar. The system will automatically generate a comprehensive list of matches, divided by category. You can scroll through the entire list to find what you're looking for, or click on the category headers to expand or collapse the sections as necessary and thus narrow down the results. 🔎

Search Tips

Maximise the performance of your searches with these helpful tips:

  • Exact Matches: Enclose the text in double quotation marks (“”) to search for exact phrases. For example, entering "Started at date range" will yield results containing that specific wording.

Before

After

  • Case Sensitivity: The search bar is not case-sensitive, so there’s no need to worry about uppercase or lowercase variations.

  • Partial Words: Partial words are acceptable and will bring up results that incorporate the fragment you’ve typed.

Navigation Keys

You may easily navigate through your search results using the following keyboard keys:

  • Up and Down Arrow Keys: Traverse through the results.

  • [ENTER]: Open the highlighted result.

  • [ESC]: Dismiss the results and reset the search bar.

Where Do I Find an Item’s ID?

An ID, whether it’s for a profile, class, campaign, or another kind of element, is a unique identifier consisting of a 24-digit alphanumeric code that is part of that item's URL. The platform generates these codes automatically and does not allow for customisation to ensure their distinctness.
