Here’s everything you need to know to get the most out of FIN

What is FIN?

FIN is an AI-powered support agent which we’ve integrated into our support chat. It’s available 24/7 and trained on all of our help articles and technical documentation. When you ask a question in the chat, FIN can instantly provide helpful answers, links, or instructions based on the information we’ve provided it.

Think of FIN as your super-speedy, always-awake, documentation expert!

How to use FIN?

To get started, just open our chat widget in the bottom-right corner of Full Fabric, and click 'send us a message'. This will create a new conversation.

FIN will introduce itself right away, ready to help. Simply type your question or message — ideally as a clear, single sentence — and wait for FIN’s response.

From there, feel free to follow up, ask for clarification, or dig deeper into the topic. FIN can handle multi-step conversations, so don’t be shy! 😁

Important tips to get the best answers from FIN

While FIN is clever, it’s still a machine and doesn't live inside our heads (yet! 😆), so it relies on how well you phrase your questions.

To help it help you, here are some pro tips you can use to extract the best out of FIN:

1. Be clear and specific

Bad:

"This doesn't work"

"Help please"

Better:

"My profiles import says ‘failed’, what does that mean?”

"How do I create a new Campaign?"

2. Use keywords related to your problem

Try to mention the feature, action, or error message. FIN has access to all our documentation, but it needs some clues to know where to look! 🔍

For example:

"How can I assign Evaluations in bulk?"

“What does the error ‘Forbidden’ mean when l'm trying to access a profile?”

3. Avoid vague or overly general questions

Since FIN is not a mind-reader (yet). If your question is very broad or vague, it may struggle to give a useful answer. Instead, break your question down.

Bad:

“How does the system work?”

Better:

“How does the class journey widget work on the profile page?”

4. Don’t be afraid to rephrase

If FIN doesn’t get it right the first time, try asking in a different way.

Sometimes tweaking a word or adding context makes all the difference. Clarifying what you’re referring to, or specifying which part you’re struggling with can completely change the outcome. For example:

5. Use one question at a time

If you send a long paragraph with multiple questions or issues, FIN might get confused and only answer part of it. Try one question at a time for better results.
