The Experience tab in Full Fabric might be a valuable asset to your Institution, as it allow to record and view the academic and professional background of each profile. This feature provides valuable context about your profiles, helping you better understand their journey and qualifications. Storing this information centrally ensures a more complete and insightful profile, supporting more informed communication, evaluation, and decision-making across your team.

How does it work?

When the Experience tab is enabled in an application template, any academic or professional experience entered by applicants will be automatically synced with the corresponding Experience tab on their profile once the application is submitted.

Likewise, if a profile already contains academic or professional experience stored in its Experience tab, these entries will be pre-filled in any new application started by that profile — while still allowing applicants to review and update the information if needed.

This seamless synchronisation significantly reduces manual data entry, saving both time and effort! 💨

Is manual mapping required?

The shortest (and in this case, best) possible answer: no!

For extra convenience, so long as the pre-built Experience tab of an application template is enabled, no steps are required to map it to its profile counterpart, as they were designed to behave like sisters (for which reason they're identical).

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If your Profile Info tab includes a custom Experience section with fully customized fields manually created, these cannot be mapped to the pre-built/default Experience tab in application templates. As mentioned, the pre-built Experience tab in application templates only syncs with its counterpart on the profile (found in the Experience tab, not in the Info tab). The same limitation applies if you create a custom Experience tab in the application template, it cannot be linked to the pre-built profile Experience tab.

Can Experience fields be customised?

Customising the fields in the Experience tab is possible, but it's an admin-only feature, meaning that we're the only ones who can do it. If you tell us what to do, we'll make the changes on your behalf. However, please note that the changes will affect every application template, as well as the Experience tab inside profiles, because, as already mentioned, they're all connected.

If, by any chance, you or someone from your institution as access to the Settings - Schema area, the Experience tab schemas are labeled like this:

Contract: refers to the Professional Experience

Diploma: refers to the Academic Experience
