At times, you may encounter problems while using our software that are actually caused by issues within your web browser, rather than our system. These issues can range from slow performance, to pages not loading correctly, and all sorts of abnormal system behaviours. Below, we’ve outlined common browser-related problems and steps to resolve them.

In this article (click to jump to topic)

Common Browser Issues:

Cached Data: Your browser stores temporary data (cache) to improve loading speeds. However, over time, this data can become outdated and may prevent pages from displaying correctly.

Cookies: Cookies store your preferences and login sessions. Sometimes, they can cause conflicts if they’re corrupted or outdated.

Outdated Browser: Using an older version of a browser can lead to compatibility issues with modern websites and web apps.

Extensions or Plugins: Browser extensions and plugins, while useful, can sometimes interfere with the functionality of websites.

Pop-up Blockers: Some sites use pop-ups for essential functions, and pop-up blockers can prevent these from appearing.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Here are a few quick steps you can take to resolve most browser-related issues:

1. Clear Cache and Cookies

Over time, cache and cookies can cause display or loading issues. Follow these steps to clear them:

Google Chrome:

1. Open Chrome.

2. Click on the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.

3. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security.

4. Click Clear browsing data.

5. Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data, then click Clear data.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click the menu button (three lines) in the top-right corner.

2. Select Settings.

3. Go to Privacy & Security.

4. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data.

5. Select both Cookies and Cached Web Content, then click Clear.

Microsoft Edge:

1. Click the three dots in the upper-right corner.

2. Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.

3. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.

4. Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data, then click Clear now.

2. Disable Browser Extensions

Extensions can sometimes conflict with website functionality. Try disabling them temporarily to see if the issue resolves.

In Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, go to Extensions or Add-ons from the menu, then toggle off each extension to test.

3. Update Your Browser

Always use the latest version of your browser to ensure compatibility:

Google Chrome: Go to Help > About Chrome from the three-dot menu. Chrome will check for updates and install if available.

Firefox: Click the menu button, select Help, then About Firefox. It will automatically check for updates.

Edge: Click the three dots, select Help and feedback, then About Microsoft Edge.

4. Disable Pop-Up Blockers

If our software requires pop-ups, make sure they’re allowed for our site.

In your browser settings, look for Pop-ups and redirects (Chrome) or Permissions (Firefox/Edge) and add our site to the list of allowed sites.

5. Use an Incognito/Private tab and a second browser

Please try to test and recreate the issue using an Incognito/Private browsing tab or switch to a different browser to see if the it persists.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve most browser-related issues. If problems persist after completing these, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team for further assistance.
