Set up automated workflows to be triggered by a group of specific answers
If you wish to combine automations based on the possible answers to a submission, just access the Automation tab, click Add another condition, choose a dropdown or checkbox field, and then select the relevant values, as demonstrated below:
Accordingly, the workflow will then be triggered for all of the submissions that match any of the selected values. 🚀 As you probably remember, previously it was necessary to set up a separate workflow for every value, so being able to select multiple values at once is a huge time saver and considerably less error-prone!
Apply the OR logic to the conditions of an automated workflow
Again, access the Automation tab, add two or more conditions and then tap AND to switch the logic to OR:
Having the OR connector will enable you to contain more conditions to the same workflow, which is immensely more practical! ⚡️
Update profile states in classes
For automations involving a profile state transition through the Add profile to class action, if the profile's already in that class but in a lower lifecycle state, their lifecycle state will still be updated henceforth. Just add the Add profile to class action as usual and the system will do the rest for you!
This is particularly useful if your Admissions Team uses forms and events as a qualification step. For example, going by the above screenshot, suppose a candidate has already been associated with the class in question but is a Prospect::Cold – since the state Prospect::Qualified is higher in the hierarchy, it'll replace the original. ✅ On the other hand, if the original state is even higher, such as the state Prospect::Started_application, then no transition will occur.
Set up event registration notification emails for staff
Last, but not least, this one is very similar to how it works in a form: open an event, navigate to the Automation tab, choose the action Send event registration notification to and pick a staff user:
In turn, the respective staff user will receive a variation of the following email, which, for maximum convenience, includes a link to the registrant's profile, a link to all of the registrations for the event, and a reproduction of the submitted data:
