How can I integrate another system with Full Fabric via Full Fabric's API?

If you want to set up an integration with Full Fabric and another system, whereby you extract data from Full Fabric or update data in Full Fabric, for example if you want to extract student data from Full Fabric and send it to another Student Information System or vice-versa, you can use Full Fabric's API.

What is an API?

An API provides a way for two or more systems to communicate with each other. It provides a method for external developers to easily perform certain actions with the system. For example Full Fabric has a "Get application" API request which allows a developer to extract a student's application information, which they can then send to another system.

What can I do with Full Fabric's API?

Our API uses HTTP verbs and a RESTful endpoint structure, and our request and response payloads are formatted as JSON. You can make up to 5000 requests per hour.

Actions that can be performed via the API include, but are not excluded to:

  • Retrieving profiles from Full Fabric;

  • Retrieving application from Full Fabric;

  • Creating profiles in Full Fabric;

  • Adding policy agreements to profiles in Full Fabric;

  • Setting source categories in Full Fabric;

  • And much more.

For more technical information, please consult our public API documentation.

Who manages an API integration?

An API integration is managed by your institution, Full Fabric does not offer the development of custom API integrations as part of its service. Your API integration can either be managed by your internal IT department or an external agency.

Form integrations

Aside from API integrations, it's also possible to integrate our forms into other websites through endpoint, and embeddable script tags. While the former allows you to build your own forms and landing pages and just send the submitted data to Full Fabric, the latter allows you to embed a Full Fabric form onto your website. For instance, suppose you want to send data from a form in Hubspot to a form in Full Fabric: in that case, you'd be able to use our endpoint function to map which fields in Hubspot should sync with which fields in Full Fabric. For more information on this, come here.

Finally, we have built-in, pre-configured integrations with several popular services to fulfil a variety of needs. The next topic breaks them down by category.

If there's any integration you're interested in, please drop us a line to let us know! 😉

What third party integrations does Full Fabric currently have?

Full Fabric can seamlessly integrate with the following platforms:

Payment platforms

Analytical platforms

Communication platforms

Interview platforms

Is there some other integration you're keen on? If so, make a request and we'll be happy to consider it! 😃
