1. Do portal page widgets update automatically when new classes are created?
No, portal page widgets must always be updated manually. After creating a new class, you also need to update the 'applications/registrations' widget of the portal page setup to include the new class.
2. Why does the portal page widget say ‘applications closed’ even though my class is open for applications?
The application template is closed. For the portal widget to show ‘applications open’, not only the class but the application template must be on that state too.
3. Why do I see my staff name and email pre-filled when opening portal landing pages (Events and Forms)?
Because you’re logged in with your staff account. To test Forms or Events landing pages use an Incognito/Private tab or a different browser.
4. Do student and staff login passwords expire?
Yes, login passwords expire automatically every 6 months, for both staff and student profiles. After that, users must set a new password.
5. Students reported they cannot log in the Portal, what could be the issue?
Check if at least one portal page is set as the Homepage in the Apps - Portal area. If there isn’t at least one homepage, the Portal will be inaccessible.
6. Can students delete their own profiles in the Student Portal?
No, only staff users can delete profiles via the Full Fabric backend.
7. Why do students see a forbidden error when accessing the Portal Settings?
The student’s email isn’t verified. A red warning appears in the lower-left corner of the Portal. They must click it and send a new verification email, and verify it.
8. When students click the institution’s logo in the Portal, they’re taken to the Full Fabric website. Can this be changed?
No. This is a hard-coded behaviour built into the system's infrastructure, and cannot be customized individually per institution.
9. Our Student Portal has two languages, when I edit a Portal page content does the content of the second language become automatically updated too?
No, the system doesn't have an 'automatic translation tool', so the second language content must be manually updated.
