You don’t have to be Indiana Jones with a map to navigate FULL FABRIC, but knowing where to go from day one to find handy information and perform specific actions is a big step towards a successful induction. Besides, maps are cool (!), so grab the little explorer in you and continue reading to let it loose. 🀠

The navigation panes

Navigating FULL FABRIC is achieved by the use of two ever-present panes: the side bar and the top bar, which we'll discuss more in depth in a bit.

The side bar works like a menu bar and gives access to every module in the portal.

The top bar is essentially a toolbar, and consists of the search function, the Create a profile button (marked by a βž• icon), and the Settings button (marked by a βš™οΈ icon).

Unique to the Home page is a row of quick and productivity-oriented tabs with the information most typically sought by staff to help you figure out your lot for the day and jump right into work, as well as the Upcoming events window, which keeps your memory sharp.

Now it's time to delve into the nuts and bolts of the navigation panes! πŸ”©

The sidebar modules

FULL FABRIC's portal is made up of the foundation CRM plus the modules and add-ons that a school has subscribed, as per the school's needs and interests. Therefore, no two portals are necessarily the same.

Below we're gonna break down every item on the sidebar for your elucidation; if you spot any areas which aren't enabled for you but picked your interest, please reach out to our Support team by starting a chat or sending an email to support@fullfabric.com. πŸ€™

🏠 HOME

This is the mandatory shortcut to load the homepage from any place!

πŸ‘€ PROGRAMMES

Programmes is where you can see all of the classes available for each programme and, from there, enter a class page to view and manage all of its' prospects and applicants. Likewise noteworthy is the option to VIEW ALL PROFILES, which, as the name suggests, takes you to a comprehensive list of every user in the portal, including contacts, lecturers, and staff.

β‡’ How do I search for a programme?

If you have a long list of programmes, then you can look for a particular one by simply using the search function at the top of the list. πŸ•΅πŸΏβ€β™€οΈ

β‡’ How do I highlight my favorite programmes?

You can favorite the programmes most relevant to you by clicking the ⭐️. This will ensure that they appear at the top of the list.

β‡’ How do I find a list of all of the users in the portal?

Click VIEW ALL PROFILES at the bottom of the programme list.

πŸ—’ APPLICATIONS AND EVALUATIONS

The concisely named Applications delivers more than it promises, as it displays all of your application and evaluation forms. Entering a form page will show you its' respective applications or evaluations, as the case may be.

Like with Programmes, it's also possible to search and favorite application and evaluation forms. πŸ‘

πŸŽ“ ACADEMICS

As the name would have it, Academics is a course management system that serves students, staff, and faculty. Here you can bill lecturers, publish the syllabus online, present learning resources and assignments to students, issue grades, schedule lessons and one-time meetings, and much more. πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“

  • Calendar – Manage students' lecture timetable.

  • Courses – Manage the master list of courses.

  • Lecturers – Manage your lecturers' accounts.

  • Lecturer costs – Capture the costs of every lecturer and guest lecturer for every session in one place.

  • Session approvals – Manage every session of every unit in one place.

🏒 INDUSTRY

Industry is essentially a database of companies and the users in FF who work or have worked for them.

  • Organizations – A directory of organizations manually recorded by staff or automatically logged by the system from users publishing their professional experiences on their profiles. By accessing the directory you can view and manage organizational info, such as Contacts (nominated people in an organization who are authorized to respond on its' behalf for any particular situation or query) and Community (the list of users linked to a certain organization).

  • Contacts – A complete list of every contact in every organization.

🎑 APPS

Apps is the set of miscellaneous resources, some of which are add-ons, that complement and greatly enrich the main modules. Each has its' own raison d'Γͺtre and function and comes well-equipped with thoughtful tools to excel.

  • Campaigns – Send email campaigns (i.e., bulk messages) to a segment of people. Find all about campaigns here.

  • Events – Build event landing pages so that people can register for your events.

  • Forms – Design landing page forms where people can submit their information (e.g., to gather data, generate leads or even automate your brochure request process).

  • Portal – Create, automate and edit the pages of your school's application portal.

  • Payments – Review the list of application fee payments and payments received to honor payment plans.

There's power in your name, and that's the power to change your account settings and sign out. πŸ§žβ€β™‚οΈ

  • Profile Settings – Establish settings and preferences related to your account, such as timezone, email signature, notifications, etc.

  • Logout – Every entrance has an exit, so – well, this is the exit! πŸšͺ

The top toolbar

The top bar is a horizontal row that gives you permanent visible access to the most commonly used and universally applicable actions and controls within the portal. Let's have a look at what you can do! πŸ™Œ

πŸ” SEARCH

The search function lets you find anything across the entire portal, integrating profiles, organizations, campaigns, shared segments, shared email templates, forms, events and also programmes and classes. You can use the [ENTER], [RETURN], [ESC] and arrow keys to navigate through results, follow a result or close the search. Results are divided by category groupings to easily locate what you're looking for, and you can collapse or expand the categories by clicking the section titles, as demonstrated above. Please note that profile searches will be restricted by access scope.

Here's the list of searchable attributes per area:

  • Profiles – Name, schema fields (notably email address) and ID*;

  • Organizations – Name, schema fields and ID*;

  • Campaigns – Name and ID*;

  • Shared segments – Name and ID*;

  • Shared email templates – Name, default subject and ID*;

  • Forms – Name and ID*;

  • Events – Name and ID*;

  • Programmes and classes – Programme name and class name.

*If one exists.

TIP: Text between double quotation marks will be searched exactly as written (but be sure you know the precise search terms to use).

βž• CREATE A PROFILE

If you want to create a new profile for a prospect or applicant, simply press the plus icon at the top right-hand corner. You can learn more about profiles, active users and their accounts here. πŸ‘¬πŸ‘«πŸ‘

βš™οΈ SETTINGS

On the top-right corner of the portal you'll find the gear icon for Settings, code for global portal settings, which are largely responsible for making everything happen, come together and run smoothly. Given the ambitious nature of this area, there's a diverse range of settings to explore and configure:

  • General settings – A collection of settings where you can create and manage new programmes, intakes, application templates and evaluation templates, set up backend automations, build payment plans, upload documents, and more.

  • Shared email templates – Create email templates that are shared across the platform and can be used in email campaigns, forms, events and one-to-one emails.

  • Shared segments – Create segments of people by prescribing rules that peruse users to find a match. Segments are useful to create audiences for email campaigns and to produce statistics.

  • Support portal – This very humble abode. πŸ˜‰ A shortcut to FULL FABRIC's Help Center and all its' articles on how to use the portal.
